Where's the Trail?

The Turquoise Trail a National Scenic Byway is located in North Central New Mexico.

The Northern Gateway is 10 miles South of Santa Fe's Plaza.  Follow Cerrillos Road southwest out of downtown Santa Fe until you reach I-25, which turns into highway 14 south (exit 278A).  Cerrillos Road was Route 66, prior to 1937.

The Southern Gateway is 15 miles east of downtown Albuquerque.  Take Central Ave east (which is Historic Route 66), stay on Route 66 to Tijeras.  An alternative is take I-40 east to Tijeras and take exit 175.
